Sew what has been happening at the Sew2it Sewing School since my last newsletter?
I am happy to announce that one of my After School Club students has secured the first Costume Apprenticeship at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford. I am beyond pleased for her and can’t wait to hear all her stories and where her journey takes her.
I have also started a Knitting Class on a Friday morning(10-11.30) after a request from some existing students. The ladies attending have been busy learning how to knit, read a pattern and have been busy knitting hats for Premature babies and are now moving onto prem baby cardigans.

Workshops
Get to know your Overlocker
Saturday 9th September 1.00-4.00 £55.00
During this workshop you will learn how to thread from the beginning, how to alter tensions, use of three and four threads, roll hemming, curves, turning corners, differential feed and use plus lots more tips and hints. All fabrics and handouts included as well as refreshments. This workshop is limited to 4.
Get to know your Sewing Machine
Saturday 7th October 1.00-4.00 £55.00
During this workshop you will learn threading machine, winding bobbin, tensions, stitch width, stitch length, what the different stitches are used for, buttonholes, what different machine feet are for and use of different needles and sizes.
All fabrics and handouts included as well as refreshments. This workshop is limited to 4.
